Does anybody know anything about the Sony Alpha series?
Would you recommend the Sony Alpha 300 or 350 ?
Or is the Canon EOS 450D a lot better?

I haven't heard much about them myself but you can check out the full range on the Sony Website. We released an article about the new Alpha range on the Insider on the 11th May 2009 - Sony Alpha DSLRs spotted.

Trusted Reviews has an in depth article on the Sony Alpha A700 so I would say checking that out is probably your best bet.

Sony are making headway in the SLR market and some of their cheaper offerings actually pack quite a punch, features wise. I personally always prefer to reccomend Canon and Nikon, as i think their experience does bore through somewhat, and their more extensive lenses and accessories offerings make them a better choice on the whole.

The Sony Alpha range isnt a bad starting point, and the 350x (double kit) can offer great value for money. Eventually however, most gravitate back towards the old stalworts.

just my 2 cents worth

all the best
Mike

Sony is the best electronic company in the world. Its provide a lot of products like TV. laptop, audio tape, home theater, digital camera etc. According to my information the new semi professional Sony Alpha model incorporates a newly developed image sensor and BIONZ processor achieving high level total picture quality.
