Info please:
As an elderly person, not too used to mobiles, can I ask a question?

I have a Orange pay as you go phone, which I've had for some years.
If I buy a new Orange pay as you go phone, can I just insert my present sim card and just carry on, or must I contact Orange and do the whole registry bit?
I'd like to keep my present number if possible.

Hope I haven't missed some obvious FAQ, but this is all new to me.

Regards,

Tristar

It usually is fine, I recently bought a new phone and put my Virgin SIM card into my new one without any problems - although I did buy the new phone from Virgin in the first place. I recommend if you are not buying your new phone from Orange, to contact them.

Incidentally, if you do decide to buy a phone from Orange, check that you may be entitled to discounts as an existing customer. At Virgin, I got £10 off my new phone which was quite handy!

Hope this has been of some help smile.gif

I dont think it should be a problem to keep your existing number and sim card. But to be sure about that you should realy ask an Orange member. Just go to any of their shops. Otherwise I'm sure they have a contact details on their website. You could just ask them in an e-mail.

Thanks; I emailed Orange days ago, still waiting for reply.
I'll probably have to call them to discuss it.
