In a process to buy a new phone, but not sure which one. Has to be either a Nokia or Sony Ericsson, any recommendations please? I have to be able to take pictures with it.

Hi Ana

My sister runs a mini cab company and they are a lot happier with Nokia's. They are more robust and are not as problematic as ericssons.
They have about a dozen phones at any one time and they are used constantly.

IMHO

Yes its old now,i had the t10 2 years ago,but it went faulty within a few months of purchase,i used the phone with kid gloves.
But it was the adapter to charge the phone, was a manufacturer fault .
as for the screen it just went fuzzy.

I had Nokia for years, but 18 months ago I changed to a Sony Ericsson P800, which I am about to upgrade. The functionality of the P800 was so much better than any Nokia I ever had.

I had a problem with the charger, too, but bought another one (cost £B-) which was perfect, even if it wasn't the manufacturer's chosen charger.

I looked at the newer Nokias recently, but decided to stick with the SE P900i as my choice. The phones are not as robust as Nokia, but when it comes to doing the things I need, you can't fault them.

Incidentally, my partner has a Samsung E700. Not such a good phone. However, the new on (E800: see a demo of features on the website www.samsungexplore.com) is a major step up and might suit your needs. I suggest taking a stroll to your local Car Phone Warehouse (or whichever is your local phone shop) and trying out as many phones as possible. Features are what drives my purchases, but your needs may well be different.

I haven't got it yet, but next week I'm getting one of those new Nokia N90's. I know they're only promos to show off the video capability but take a look at the movie clips shot on the actual phone itself. Its a good as the video camera I had a few years ago.

Here are the Top 20 UK contract sellers.

People will vote with their wallets regardless of the features. Undoubtedly both Samsung and Sony Ericsson are producing better products than Nokia this year, the Cybershot and Walkman phones from Sony Ericsson are hot phones at the moment.

Samsung is building on the success of the old D500 which was a hit last year and bringing out some nice slim sliders although not as trendy as Sony Ericsson's offerings.

The K800i was No 1 for 13 weeks until last week. The W850i is widely tipped to be christmas No1.

1 Samsung D900
2 Sony Ericsson W850i
3 Sony Ericsson K800i
4 Samsung E900
5 Nokia N73
6 LG KG800
7 Sony Ericsson W810i
8 Motorola KRZR
9 Nokia 6111
10 Motorola V3i
11 Nokia 6230i
12 Nokia N80
13 Sony Ericsson K610i
14 Nokia 6233
15 Sony Ericsson Z610i
16 LG KG810
17 Nokia N91
18 Samsung E370
19 Nokia N91
20 Samsung E370

Hi Ana,

I work for a marketing company on behalf of Nokia. We have recently built a website which gives information on some of the latest Nokia products.

If you follow the link below you can view the site, it might help you make a decision.

The link will actually take you to a game we have built for the site but use the navigation bar at the top of the page to view handsets etc.

Let me know what you think.

All the best,
John

Both are good but it depends upon the features you are looking for. Look here - http://www.ukonlinemarket.co.uk/mobile/index.asp

I am not a supporter for Nokia phones but the new Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is one of the best music mobile phones on the market. (http://www.pricerunner.co.uk/pl/1-1009498/Mobile-Phones/Nokia-5310-XpressMusic-Compare-Prices).
SE is my favourite mobile phone brand and I have a W660i which has a good mp3 player too.
