Hey there everyone.
Right... Having just gone and spunked a whole wedge of cash on a new Panasonic TV (TH42PX700) and DVD/HD recorder (DMREX77), I still feel as though my credit card hasn't suffered enough. Therefore, I'm looking for a home cinema system to complement the aforementioned shiny new goggle box. Does anyone have any recommendations for what to look at / avoid like the plague? Obviously I would prefer the home cinema kit to match the other pieces of equipment, but it's not essential. I was originally looking at the SA-XR700 in black, but as a stand alone AV receiver, I would then have to purchase the speakers seperately. Another item for consideration was the SC-PTX7EB... however, £650 would put my card into casualty! Any pointers gratefully received. Many thanks, |

Hi Zafira & Robert - Welcome to the forum.
Zafira I have checked out the Panasonic SC -PT460eb-k-i Home theatre system, the prices are in the region of £300, unfortunately, I cannot find any reviews for this model. However looking at other models, it appears that one home theater system has 5 expert reviews, the lowest score being 8.8/10. Rated as excellent. The Pioneer LX01, may be a little expensive priced between; £1234.99 - £1750 ( 18.7.08) Reviews & details here: http://tinyurl.com/59rmmt There are some very good systems out there, this one is rated "Very good." The LG HT762TZ , again 5 expert reviews, the lowest 7/10 to 9.7/10 Cost, £305 - £409.95 See Reviews & Details here: http://tinyurl.com/5pgf6f |
